Weâre looking for a proactive and independent Trading Operations Manager Poland (Warsaw) to be the operational backbone of our growing battery storage (BESS) trading business. In this role, you will own end-to-end commercial balancing, asset operations, and market executionâworking closely with our AI-powered trading stack and teams across onboarding, data, engineering, and finance to turn megawatts into measurable value.

- Working Mode: Office work setup with expectations to travel (stakeholder meetings in Poland and strategic alignments with our headquarters in Munich)
- Language Requirement: Polish (C1+) and English (C1)
Your Responsibilities
Run the Polish trading dayÂ
- Full commercial balancing of electricity for the trading group within the company.
- Commercial management of a portfolio consisting of, among others, Battery Storage Systems
- Utilize our AI-powered trading platform to optimize the value of our energy assets in real-time, 24/7. Support and implement strategies for bidding on the Polish Balancing Market (Rynek BilansujÄ cy), including the day-ahead, intraday, and real-time markets, to optimize the value of our assets.
Operate and optimize BESS assets
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of our battery storage assets on the Polish energy market.
- Help shape our trading and operations platform by ensuring the right tools and processes are in place as we scaleÂ
- Oversee Placing market orders in the IT systems of the Power Exchange and Transmission System Operator
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Polish Transmission System Operator (TSO), distribution system operators (DSOs), and other market partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Polish energy market regulations and reporting requirements.
Lead BRP processesÂ
- Conducting processes of BRP (Podmiot Odpowiedzialny za Bilansowanie) and Market Operator (Operator Rynku)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key market participants, including transmission system operators (TSOs) and distribution system operators (DSOs).
- Make the data flow (and the invoices match) Automation of measurement and billing processes and other areas related to electricity balancing.
- Support in the customer billing and invoicing process.
Raise the bar, every dayÂ
- Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and trading performance to identify opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, engineering, and business development, to enhance our trading strategies and platform capabilities.
- Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with all relevant Polish and EU regulations, including the Polish Energy Law, IRiESP, and REMIT reporting obligations.
Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the Polish energy market, with a deep understanding of its regulations, market design, and trading mechanisms.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, such as energy trading, portfolio management, or asset optimization.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience managing external technical partners (e.g., TSOs, OEMs, service providers)
- A strong understanding of the operational processes of a Balancing Group (Podmiot Odpowiedzialny za Bilansowanie - POB).
- Good knowledge of the Polish grid infrastructure and the roles of the TSO and DSOs.
- Operational compliance know-how in the energy or critical infrastructure sectorÂ
- Fluency in Polish and English (C1 or above)
Skills to Set You Apart
- Certificate of Broker of the Polish Power Exchange (TGE)
- Ability to understand and work with basic code (e.g., Python, SQL) to support debugging, automation, or configuration tasks
- Familiarity with algorithmic trading strategies.
- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams especially with software engineers and data scientists
- Familiarity with agile working methods and tools
