You will join a highly motivated, interdisciplinary team performing contract research and development for customers in the (bio) pharmaceutical industry worldwide.
You will be a vital part of our contract research organization - where you will support & learn from our scientific operations teams - to enable our clients in their journey of developing innovative drugs.
Your Responsibility
As Senior Scientist you are - together with the project team - responsible for the successful development and execution of liquid chromatography (LC) analysis for our customers worldwide.
- As subject matter expert, you support client project acquisition and execution with your expertise to provide high quality services.
- You are responsible for the LC characterization of biopharmaceutical molecules (proteins, peptides, nucleic acids) within client projects, including the de novo development of LC methods.
- You maintain cutting-edge scientific knowledge in LC and drive LC innovation to meet evolving business needs, that may include new business areas and novel molecular modalities.
- You work cooperatively across Coriolis teams (e.g., business development, finance, technical support team, etc.) and ensure seamless collaboration with all operational groups during client project execution.
- You function as project leader in your own client projects, including project planning, method implementation, development, characterization, data evaluation, and reporting activities.
What you need to succeed
- University degree in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, (bio)chemistry, or a related field, preferably with a PhD related to (U)HPLC method development or retention mechanism studies
- A minimum of 5 years (with PhD in relevant field) or 9 years (without PhD in relevant field) of industry experience and in-depth knowledge in biopharmaceutical characterization by LC (RP, SEC, IEX) with UV, FLD, RI or CAD detection
- Hands-on experiences with (U)HPLCs of different vendors (e.g., Dionex/Thermo Fisher, Waters, Agilent)
- Experience with developing, transfer and troubleshooting of LC analytical methods in an industry setting
- Significant experience as a project manager with strong project management skills such as resource management, multi-tasking, prioritization, and risk management
- Experience with 2D-LC and design of experiments for method development and validation is a plus
- Leading by example, open for new ideas and tasks, can-do attitude and hands-on mentality
- Team player with strong motivational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
