YOUR TASKS

• Your responsibilities include planning the network design, as well as installing, configuring and monitoring the company-wide network infrastructure
• routing, switching, firewall and load balancing are the central areas of your role
• You will support the planning and implementation of internal IT projects, including budget planning and resource management
• You identify and analyze problems in the IT infrastructure, initiate appropriate measures to solve issues and provide effective troubleshooting in the event of incidents
• You are involved in the implementation of current security solutions and ensure compliance with security guidelines to minimize critical IT threats
• You contribute with innovative ideas to support the future development of our IT environment
• you take care of the patch & lifecycle management of our IT components
• you are the technical contact in network support with rotating 24/7 on-call duty and show willingness to travel, e.g. to our data centers or remote office locations

YOUR PROFILE

• You have successfully completed an IT degree with years of professional experience in the operation of complex, segmented, highly available networks and systems
• You have very good knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN and network security
• You have wide experience in the design, configuration and operation of switches, routers and firewalls from well-known manufacturers (Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, HPE Aruba)
• You are familiar with monitoring and system surveillance with appropriate tools in your daily work and you keep up to date with the latest IT market developments
• You have already acquired good knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration
• You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented approach and show flexibility, team spirit and customer orientation
• You have a high level of self-motivation and the ability to quickly learn and take over new tasks
• Your English skills are very good, while German skills are an advantage

• Good to have: Fortinet/Fortigate, Arista, OpenShift, VMware, M365, Google Cloud, Azure, Terraform, Scripting
