As a Test Engineer, you will have end-to-end responsibility for a test from its initial request until the delivery of the test data. For tests subcontracted to external laboratories, you will serve as the technical focal point and coordinator between our design team and the laboratory. The following tasks await you:
*For each test, you will be responsible of the following activities under guidance and advise by our experienced senior team members: Assessment of the test request and refinement together with the design team, preparation of a test concept, detailed design of the test, execution of the test and post-processing of the data and results reporting
*Developing complex test rigs and setups and coordinate our support teams (Software, CAD, Technicians)
*Creating engineering documentation for your test setups and results and constantly learning about our test articles and the way we test them and sharing them with your team and work on any ad-hoc projects or tasks
*Supporting the design team in the detailed definition of test requirements and give feedback your findings and opinion to the design team for product improvement and ensure a safe work environment in the lab

Your profile

*University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc/M.Eng preferred)
*2-5 years of relevant professional experience in aerospace or automotive development programs, preferably in mechanical testing or system integration
*Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems across engineering disciplines, under time and cost constraints
*Basic knowledge of measurement technology and data acquisition systems is required and of data analysis and processing and standard mechanical test principles
*Good knowledge of composite structures is beneficial and of electrical systems is beneficial and experience in fixture design with emphasis on manufacturability is beneficial
*Basic knowledge of propulsion systems, environmental test aspects and of labview programs development for acquisition and automation and standard testing methods is beneficial
*Good hand calculation abilities are required
*Basic knowledge of a CAD system is beneficial (Siemens NX preferred)
*Ability to work with incomplete requirements and to anticipate customer needs
*High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a diverse team
*Target-oriented, driven work style with analytic problem-solving skills is required
*Fluent English language skills are essential
*Working on-site is required (2 days per week homeoffice possible)
*Submission of English resume required
