Role Description
As a Procurement Manager, you will lead the global sourcing and strategy for various packaging materials such as pallets, labels, sleeves, bags, and bulk containers. You’ll manage a yearly expenditure of around €80 million, working to reduce costs, improve supplier performance, and drive innovation and sustainability. This role requires strong strategic thinking and the ability to manage relationships with international stakeholders.
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term global strategies
• Lead sourcing activities, tenders, and contract negotiations
• Build and manage relationships with key suppliers for innovation and sustainability
• Drive cost transparency through should-cost models and commodity impact analysis
• Coordinate strategic projects across regions, including supply base and article rationalization
• Act as thought leader within the packaging category, advising on trends and opportunities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders at various levels to align category goals
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and compliance related to the packaging category

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant field
• 7-10 years of procurement experience, ideally in packaging and in a multinational environment
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a can-do attitude
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
• Willing to occasionally travel to production sites
