Your Tasks

• The general ledger is your responsibility, and you ensure that all business transactions are recorded, evaluated, and reported correctly
• Together with the team leader, you ensure that monthly and annual financial statements are prepared on time, accurately, and in compliance with group and local standards
• You handle the range of coverage valuations of materials (material devaluation), provisions, asset accounting, and travel expenses, keeping everything under control and thoroughly documented
• You manage all VAT reporting for Switzerland, Germany, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom
• You support the internal control system (ICS) officer in reviewing and further developing the ICS, with a focus on accounting tasks
• You actively contribute your experience and ideas to projects aimed at optimizing our accounting processes - sometimes in a leadership role, sometimes as a key team member

Your Profile

• A solid education in finance and accounting, ideally with a professional certificate - possibly even a diploma from a university of applied sciences (HF or FH level)
• Several years of experience in financial accounting (e.g., IFRS, US-GAAP, Swiss GAAP FER, or HGB) and strong knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
• You are highly proficient in SAP FI and have experience with other modules such as MM, CO, or PS
• You enjoy working in a team, supporting the accounting team with your expertise, and ensuring that workflows are continuously improved and developed
• You are fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
• You are characterized by analytical thinking, initiative, and a solution-oriented work style - you take charge and assume responsibility
