Your mission
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system design and architecture for cloud-connected IoT devices.
- Perform system analysis, diagnostics, and performance optimization.
- Manage product development cycles, from concept to launch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, cloud, UX).
- Define product requirements based on customer feedback and market trends.
- Ensure compliance with industrial standards and certifications.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in product features and usability.
Your profile
As an Electronic System Engineer & Product Manager, you will bridge the gap between hardware, software, and customer needs. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our industrial IoT products-from system architecture and analysis to product strategy and delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in system engineering for embedded or IoT devices.
- Excellent industrial documentation writing skills.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, APIs, BLE etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and IoT device integration.
- Proficiency in system analysis tools and methodologies.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Knowledge & Experience and motivation to learn about the following topics.
- Experience with IoT systems, devices, and setup: Practical experience working with connected devices - including configuring hardware, integrating sensors, and troubleshooting edge behaviour.
- Experience with backend development, ideally Elixir/Node: Experience in building or maintaining backend services using Elixir and/or TypeScript (Node.js), including APIs, data processing, and integration with device or cloud systems.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and cloud-to-cloud integration: Experience using cloud platforms and integrating with third-party services through APIs, webhooks, or event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with communication protocols like MQTT, BLE, and cellular: Understanding how to work with IoT communication stacks - setting up MQTT handlers, handling BLE advertisements, or managing NB-IoT/LTE-M device communication.
Understanding of device-to-cloud data flow: Ability to handle end-to-end data pipelines: decoding and transforming raw device payloads, applying business logic, and storing structured data in backend or cloud systems.
