Our Business Unit Care Chemicals provides specialty chemicals and application solutions for Personal & Home Care, Crop Solutions, Paints & Coatings, and Industrial Lubricants, with global R&D teams working on sustainability transformation through molecular design.
We are looking for a Research Scientist - Surfactants & Polymers (m/f/d) to join our global R&D team at our research and production site in Gendorf, Bavaria, Germany. In this role, you will contribute to our innovation strategy in alkoxylation chemistry, working in synthesis laboratories and collaborating with international colleagues across application development, analytics, and production.
Responsibilities

  • Synthesizing innovative surface-active agents and polymers
  • Advancing the innovation strategy of our core technology platform alkoxylation
  • Exploring new technology fields and mapping out technology strategies
  • Collaborating closely with Application Development, Analytics, Process Technology, Pilot and Production plants.

Requirements

  • PhD in Organic or Polymer Chemistry, preferably with Postdoc experience
  • Hands-on, in-depth experience in synthetic organic chemistry
  • Creative personality with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team player with good communication skills
  • High motivation, ambition, and reliability
  • Language skills: fluent in German and English
